Hola! I’m Amishi.
Independent Consultant and Founder @ Mesa/81
THE LONG VIEW /
For over two decades, my work has spanned business, brand, consumer and growth, grounded in strategic insight.
That breadth changes the questions I ask and the perspectives I bring.
I’ve worked in and alongside leadership teams to make sense of complexity, filter distractions, spot where the opportunities are, and make them real.
This experience has taught me how to move between the bigger picture and the choices that give it focus. Longer-horizon leadership roles have made me particularly aware of how strategic choices made today can have an outsized impact over time.
AN INDEPENDENT PERSPECTIVE /
Working independently gives me something organizations rarely have enough of. Distance.
Distance gives me the freedom to challenge the obvious, pursue unexpected threads and explore where they lead.
And you get experienced strategic thinking without the machinery, agenda or predetermined frameworks of a large consultancy.
STRATEGY & POETRY /
After living in different parts of the world, I’ve now moved back home to India, closer to family. When I’m not consulting, I write poems. And when I’m not doing either, I read.
The ancient Greek word poiesis, root of the English word poetry, means bringing forth into being.
I’ve come to believe strategy and poetry have more in common than we care to admit.
Both begin by paying attention. Both search for meaning beneath the obvious. Both work through complexity towards rhythm and rely as much on what is left out as what is included.
Perhaps why I’ve always been drawn to the worlds between curiosity and conviction, discipline and imagination.
